In Africa, the extended family traditionally takes care of orphaned and needy children, but the crisis today have reached such dimensions that family network can no longer cope: this is why Akwaaba Care International Foundation a young non governmental organisation (NGO) has taken up the initiative to assist children and needy institutions and to promote youth activities in Ghana. The organisation is registered with the Registrar General’s Department, Accra-Ghana having complied with the provision of Sections 27 and 28 of the Companies Code, 1963 (Act 179).
